freebatasuna

We have started a campaign to report the arrest of near 20 Basque left wing independentist representatives.

If you agree with our manifest, join the campaing.

You just need to publish a post in your blog, instant messenger, e-mail, Myspace, Fotolog... with this word: freebatasuna.

Manifest:
Looking forward to a democratic solution, words are more than enough: freebatasuna

No one supports terrorists nowadays. When they show repentance for having accepted violence during so many years, they may have a chance for receiving some compassion. But nowadays, terrorists are despised evreywhere, and so are their ideological supporters. Give up the guns, or no one will support you. Ever.

bla bla bla bla: repentance? compassion? Jesus Christ! who is this? hello!!! waky waky!!!

you can't force a nation to think what you want, you can't arrest the people representing a % of that nation (eg. yesterday night), you can't treat people differently especially if it implies xenophobia and goes against human rights (eg. Basque prisoners), you can't try to destroy a culture and at the same time use it to promote the diversity of a country which is not your country, you can't make illegal asking A PART of a nation (eg. discussion about Ibarretxe). there are many things you can't do if you claim to defend democracy, if you do, you are bullshhhhhhitting
there will be no solution as long as the Basque topic stops being such a vote driving topic, or until the Spanish really realize the Basques need to be respected and there will be no solution until ALL PARTIES sit down to discuss it and find a solution, or until the EU takes action and stops Spain from being so anti-democratic.
The other problem is that the EU keeps quiet and Spain has to pay a political price in Europe that the Spanish, Basques and Catalans end up paying. Spanish, you really don't want a solution? this way will never ever bring a solution for anyone (every arrest like this, will just convince more Basques that there is no democratic solution with the Spanish government)

Batasuna = NAZIS
That is a stupid comment mixing two very different mentalities. You seem to know very little about what all this is about. Unless you want to compare Batasuna with Nazis when it is convenient but not ETA to IRA when it is not convenient (to start the same peace process)
Do you remember Franco asking the Nazis for help to bombard Durango and Gernika? The German government has apologized for that, and the Spanish still hasn't. Where is that placing you? (assuming you consider yourself a good Spanish)
What am I doing? it is not worthy answering such a stupid comment. bye bye

internazionalitari.blogspot.com from Friûl / Friuli supports the campaign freebatasuna.

The text of the manifesto in Friulian language is:

Se tu sês dacuardi cul manifest, dati dongje ancje tu.

For the English, it would be more like "For a democratic solution, no need for words: freebatasuna."

New levels of demagogy, I see. Any political system has rules. One of them, in Spain, mandates that participating parties do not condone violence. Batasuna does. Hence, it is not allowed to play. If you support Basque independence and left wing politics, other options (i.e. Aralar) are available. Democracy is good. Killing opponents is not.

don't listen to quick ignorant people who only know about the basque situation from the BBC or the CNN factor = information is passed from the spanish media, who know how to twist the situation

Terrorism is a big seller these days, lets put ETA and a political party under the same umbrella

preso politikoei aurrera!!

The behaviour of the Spanish government (arresting of 20 Batasuna members) means that they dont want to discuss because they are afraid of the results of such a process. This is never a democratic approach.
I want to say to the Spanish government: "If you are sincerely interested to stop violance, then accept Batasuna as one (not only) activist in the whole process. There is no another way."

Countries, States, are LIES.

The countries are nonsenses, something nobody has asked me for an opinion. Nothing can justify the existence of a country, neither rights nor common culture. For god's sake, travel and meet the REAL world.

Most of the world and the people are alienated by stupid romantic ideas from the 19th century. You are crazy.

Fuck Spain, Fuck Basque Country. Your contry is as big as you could ever imagine: Earth.

All the hail to the individual and his thoughs & feelings, not political invention

I have not put them under the same umbrella; they did it themselves.
